Training Courses in MHFA

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training adopts a similar approach to physical first aid courses, teaching the skills and knowledge required to respond to potentially life-threatening emergencies.

Using a practical, skills-based action plan, participants learn the skills to recognise and respond to someone experiencing a mental health problem or mental health crisis, until professional help is received or the crisis resolves. Individuals who complete MHFA training are known as MH First Aiders. With the skills to listen, connect, and offer support when it matters most, MH First Aiders play a key role in reducing stigma and promoting pathways to support for anyone within our workplaces, communities, and places of learning. The 2-day course leads to a 3 year accreditation, once participants have  completed a brief online quiz.

Experiencing customers or clients or customers in crisis, presenting as highly vulnerable? â€‹â€‹Are your leaders discussing how to  respond to distressed staff or colleagues?

1 day course: $275 (excl. GST)

Accidental Counsellor

The Accidental Counselling Course aims to equip anyone who finds themselves in a position of safely supporting another who may be experiencing stress and/or distress. It is a communication response skill.

This 1-Day course will engage you with captivating videos, audios, theories, and a 24-page workbook filled with practical information and exercises to consolidate your key learnings. Being equipped with the knowledge and skills to manage difficult conversations gives participants a framework for managing conflict, stress, or distress when engaged with another while having the awareness to uphold personal and professional boundaries.
